What is this!?! A snake? A bird? No, a Snakebird!
Challenging, difficult, but addicting puzzle games are hard to come by these days. Snakebird, is an iOS game that is part of this splendid puzzle genre. The game originates on Steam, but like many other successful games it has rotated over as an iOS due to how well it fit for mobile gaming. It has bright colors, and a very friendly art style. Just because the game seems easy, in reality the nature of the game can prove that the game is obscenely difficult at times, and some levels just seem outright impossible. If you’re able to decode the traits of the controls and the abilities that the snakebirds’ possess then you will finally be able to realize how brilliant the game Snakebird truly is.
Like other games of its genre Snakebird first has you trying to collect fruit. This goal is what you are aiming to accomplish, with your snakebirds having to coil, twist, and push and even teleport to reach it. You have to continually avoid hazards such as spikes, and falling into a void which will instantaneously end your life. But, disregarding that, the game is full of pleasant surprises and has very well built level design.
During your playtime, this is what it will roughly sound like to anybody that is near to you.
Will this work? DAMN!
How about this? …!
Let’s attempt doing… NEVERMIND
You get the gist of the story here. When you are finally able to solve a level, you’ll feel like a total mastermind. Know any smart alecs? They have nothing on you, or anybody for that matter who has reached even level 40 of this game. This game is one that will probably be able to entertain you for hours on end. If you’re the type to rage and quit, then this is the game that you’ll feel the most anger towards as it’s complexity and intricacy is something to behold.
Snakebird is definitely not a game for everybody, but if you’re a puzzle enthusiast and want a tough obstacle, then you should give this game a try. What’s there to lose?
